Cavalier County Transit provides public transportation for "all" people (children, adults, & seniors.)

Cavalier County Transit is pleased to serve the Cavalier County area with a demand-response public transit system. Demand-response means that riders call the dispatch office in advance to schedule their ride. 

You can use Cavalier County Transit to go anywhere you need: medical appointments, grocery store, bank, post office, beauty salon, school, work, senior center, or to just go visit family or friends. Call us ahead of time and we will pick you up, you pay your fare, and that is it.

Please keep in mind, Cavalier County Transportation is NON-emergency transportation. Our drivers are not paramedics. If you are experiencing a medical crisis, please call 911.

Our passengers are the most important part of our agency and keeping them safe is our number one goal.

Cavalier County Transit is open to the general public, with transportation available within Langdon Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Hours of service for scheduling rides are: Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. To schedule out-of-town transportation, contact our office at 701-256-2828.

Advance reservations are preferred. All travel outside of the Langdon area must be scheduled 72 hours in advance. Monday transportation must be scheduled by 12:00 pm on Wednesday. All out-of-town transportation will be contingent on demand for service. Fares vary according to location, Please call dispatch at 701-256-2828 for fare information. Out of town fares vary according to destination.

An answering service is available before and after hours seven (7) days a week; however, it is only to take messages. You cannot schedule transportation through the answering service. The answering service will inform the dispatch of your needs, but please call dispatch back if you don't receive a call the next business day after leaving a message.

Cavalier County Transit is closed for New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, and Juneteenth Day.  

Our transportation schedule is posted monthly in our local newspaper (The Borderland Press) and also on the United Communications television access channel. The schedule is subject to change.

Cavalier County Transportation will consider every request for reasonable modification from individuals with disabilities. Staff members are trained to provide reasonable modifications when necessary.
